  • Mr. John Nyamu Kimanthi – Managing Director

    Mr. John Nyamu Kimanthi, the Managing Director of Opportunity Bank PLC, holds a Bachelor of Science 1st Class Honours degree in Mathematics (Statistics) and Computer Science from the University of Nairobi. He also holds an Executive MBA in Strategy Management from Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI) and Maastricht School of Management.
    He is a seasoned banker with of 33 years of banking experience having worked for KCB Bank Group for over 27 years where he served in various capacities in management up to the level of Managing Director of KCB Bank South Sudan Limited.
    Mr. Kimanthi has served as the Managing Director of Opportunity Bank PLC right from the start of its operations in November 2013 to date.
    Mr. Kimanthi has over the years attended numerous courses in Banking, Risk and Corporate Governance.

  • Mrs. Martha Nyamal Choat – FIG Board Committee Chairperson

    Mrs. Martha Nyamal Choat holds; a Bachelor degree in Commerce, a Diploma in Community Development and Social Work, a Diploma in Secretarial Science and also an ACCA Level two. She is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Applications.
    Mrs. Martha Nyamal Choat has worked in different capacities in South Sudan and has gained considerable experience in Family relations, Community health, Teaching and Facilitation skills, Trainer of Trainers, First Aid and Community Development and Government affairs. She has in the past held various positions including: Deputy Chairperson, Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in the Government of South Sudan; the National Chairperson, Relief and Rehabilitation Commission in the Government of South Sudan.
    Mrs. Martha Nyamal Choat holds the position of Ambassador and is currently the Deputy Ambassador in the South Sudan Embassy in Kenya.

  • Mr. Hussein Ali Salad – Board Chairman

    Mr. Hussein Ali Salad holds Masters of Science degree in Governance and Development Management from the University of Birmingham in England and another Masters degree in Business Administration ‘MBA’ from the United States International University for Africa, Nairobi.
    As a Senior Program and Policy Advisor, Mr. Salad worked in the field of humanitarian assistance and development for over twenty years. During his tenure, Mr. Salad liaised with Regional, National and International partners and authorities in the planning and implementation of humanitarian assistance programmes of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United States Agency for International Development in Somalia and Kenya.
    In the private business sectors, as a Senior Manager, Mr. Salad served on Boards of several institutions as a Director and a Chairman including Kenya Forex Bureau and Remittance Association (KFRA), Opportunity Bank PLC in South Sudan, the East African GasOil Limited and Takaful Insurance of Africa both in Kenya and Somalia among others. Mr. Salad’s main areas of interest and expertise are in Governance, Development Management and Strategic Leadership.

  • M/s Mildred Adhiambo Ouma – FIG Board Committee Member

    M/s Mildred Adhiambo Ouma is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Nairobi. M/s Mildred is a graduate of Certified Public Secretaries (C.P.S. (K)) and also holds a Diploma in Business Administration from Kitale Technical Training Institute.
    M/s Mildred Adhiambo Ouma has hands-on experience in Microsoft Office Suite Applications. She has attended Company Secretarial Practice Seminars, Workshops, and Conferences organized by the ICPSK Institute. She has also attended a Customer Care Seminar organized by Consultancy by Effective Training. M/s Mildred Adhiambo Ouma has over 15 years’ working experience mainly on Corporate Governance Consulting, Administrative and Secretarial Practice. She has over the years worked with Equatorial Secretaries and Registrars as Company Secretarial Training Assistant; Kelly Registrars and Secretaries as Assistant Manager; Equatorial Secretaries and Registrars as Company Secretarial Assistant; Imperial Bank Limited as a Company Secretarial Officer and currently Zoar Mizpah Associate practicing as the CEO in Company Secretarial practice – Certified Public Secretary.
    M/s Mildred Adhiambo Ouma has played remarkable roles in Charity work having organized and participated in Walk to raise funds for Laisamis, Marsabit area and also contributed valuable donations to Dangoreti Hidden Talents Centre.

  • Mr. Timothy Kiprop Kimutai – ARC Board Committee Chairperson

    Mr. Timothy Kiprop Kimutai holds an MBA Finance option, B.Sc. Financial services, B. Ed. In Mathematics and Economics, CPA (K), CPS (K), ACIB (London), Risk Certification Program (RCP) and Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
    Mr. Kimutai has enormous banking supervision experience having worked with Central Bank of Kenya since 1994. He is currently a Manager at Risk Management Division (RMD) of the Central Bank of Kenya. He is a Member of several Professional Bodies including; Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ISPAK), IFS School of Finance, United Kingdom and Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). He has done several bank-related courses in his banking life.

  • Dr. Peter Lam Both – ARC Board Committee Member

    Dr. Peter Lam Both holds a Ph.D. in Social Work, Master of Social Work in Community, Organization, Management, and Policy
    He holds professional skills in International and Humanitarian Affairs, Programme Management and Coordination, Intergovernmental and NGO relations and many others. Has a wealth of work experience ranging from teaching in university colleges to positions held in organizations like: UNHCR Ethiopia; Calgary Catholic Immigration Society; Alberta – Canada; UNHCR Jordan; Community and Neighborhood Services in the City of Calgary, Alberta – Canada; National Chairperson, Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, Government of South Sudan, Juba.

  • Professor Joseph Ngugi Kamau – FIG Board Committee Member

    Professor Joseph Ngugi Kamau holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and Management from Methodist University; an MBA in Marketing Management from Nairobi University; MBA in Human Resources Management from Kenyatta University; Post Graduate Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management from ICM-London, BSc (Hons) from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, Certified Enterprise Development Agency (EDA) by UNDP and the Government of Kenya and Certified Lean Launchpad Educator by Venture Well.
    Professor Joseph Ngugi Kamau is a goal getter and a challenge seeker which has made his performance exemplary in his various responsibilities as referenced by his contributions to the organizations he has served overtime. His career expertise spans across several experiences which include; Marketing, Entrepreneurship, General Management, Consultancy, Business Plan Development, Situational Analysis, Feasibility Analysis, Report Writing, Case Analysis, Strategic Planning and Training among others. He is currently an Associate Professor at USIU-Africa.
    He has published in the Quarterly Journal of Practice and International Journal of Professional Practice (IJPP). He has authored, co-authored and published five articles in referred journals and in research conference proceedings.
